Tuesday. Um, Yay. 29072025

Shout at your Nan! What a TUESDAY!

We're back at it with some lighter weight volume deadlifts. Work on creating and holding the tension we practiced building with our dead stop deadlifts last week. You should be able to move this weight for unbroken sets and we want to focus on controlling the bar's descent to the floor. No dropping the weights, or bouncing the bar between reps. Control.

This is a direct quote from HWPO: The Grip: It is often a habit to take a mixed grip for any weight on deadlifts. The mix grip has its place in heavier loads but when we work lighter loads, having a double overhand grip with the help of the hook grip can be extremely helpful in getting members to have an even lat activation on both sides.

For the METCON, we're looking for high intensity but we want to see good consistency across all three sets. This means you can't go BD on the first AMRAP and hope to hang on. We're starting each AMRAP over at the beginning.

See you in the gym.
