Thursday STRETCH DAY! 22012026

Hey CFQ. Happy Thursday everyone, and great job by the way.

Firstly, we truly appreciate the extra effort you've all made to signup for class and checkin when you arrive. It's very helpful. Thank you.

We've had a few pretty intense workouts lately and you're all doing an amazing job of meeting the intended stimulus. What do I mean? You're choosing movements and rep schemes from the coach's recommendations that allow you to do the workout as it's intended to be completed. If it's supposed to be short and fast with continuous movement, like yesterday, you choose weights that won't bog you down, that feel "light" to you. If it's meant to be heavy and take a little longer, you choose something on the more challenging side so you don't finish in a heartbeat and wait around for everyone else to finish. I know it can be hard to do at first, but if you pay attention to this stuff, you WILL improve. If you ignore it and forge ahead blindly, putting the RX weight on the bar every single time, you're less likely to improve, more prone to injury and will eventually burn out.

Choose your battles wisely, only burning the house down when you're told to and pulling back when you should, like on rest day...like today.

Come in for a stretch, do some mobility, work a little cardio, move your body. Muscle is built on your days off.

There's my soapbox for the day.

See you in the gym.

For part 2 of the Fitness Racing piece, if it takes you 2 minutes to complete 1 round, rest 2 mins before starting the next.
