I have a small auto repair shop in Terrassa, five of us, we do chassis repairs and tire fitting. We were doing it on our own: old clients brought new ones, all local. And then at one point I felt that I needed to “go out” a little, because competitors had become more active online, and we seemed to be on the sidelines. I didn’t want to buy advertising — it’s expensive, especially if you don’t understand what you’ll get out of it. And then I accidentally came across Local Business Directory — one of my friends mentioned it in a conversation. I decided to just give it a try. I registered, designed a page — I wouldn’t say it was super stylish, but it had photos, a description, added our prices and opening hours. You won’t believe it, but the first call through the directory came in just 4 days — a guy was looking for a place to change his brake pads and found us through a city search. Then more started coming in little by little. Not en masse, but steadily. It turned out that Local Business Directory works well on our scale - in small cities where there are not many similar services, your profile becomes noticeable if it is simply designed properly. Plus there is trust - the directory does not look like an advertising dump, it is simple, clear, without unnecessary things. And people appreciate it. We now even have a regular client who is from Williams Lake - she comes to visit relatives and always stops by our place for maintenance, because she found us through this directory and was satisfied.

It's interesting to read your experience, guys. I haven't listed my business in Local Business Directory yet, but I often use it as a user - I search for where to get a haircut or order delivery. It's especially convenient that you can see companies nearby, and not somewhere in the center of Vancouver, as it happens on Google.
