The First of 12... A New Challenge

Hey CFQ.


It's a new year at the new gym and we're starting a monthly challenge to keep you on your toes. There will be a PRIZE up for grabs each month and it's awarded by participation, NOT results. All you have to do is post a video or picture of yourself (in some cases a partner too) doing the challenge, TAG us on instagram at crossfitquispamsis and you're eligible to win! If you don't have Instagram, just send the photo or video to Heather or I.


Each month, we will post a new "Death By" challenge to be completed on your own time before or after a class, on the weekend, or whenever. You can probably even do some of them at home!


The concept of a "Death By" challenge is simple. You either add reps or weight to a movement every minute until you can't complete the weight or number of reps within that minute.


January's challenge is..."Death By Kettlebell Swings". Suggested weights are (53/35) or (35/20). This is going to get grippy! Add 1 KB Swing (American style) every minute, STARTING at 5 kb swings, until you can't complete the rep within the minute.
